We want everyone to be able to use ShipShield, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or voice control.

Our target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across the public website and dashboard.

What we do

• Text and interface colours are checked against WCAG contrast ratios (at least 4.5:1 for body text) in light and dark mode.
• Every control is a real button or link that works with Tab, Enter and Space, with a visible focus outline.
• Form fields have labels; status messages are announced to screen readers.
• Images carry text alternatives; decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology.
• Pages respect reduced-motion settings and reflow to a single column at phone widths.
• ShipShield's own compliance checks run against these pages in our automated test suite on every release.

Known limitations

• Scan reports opened in a new tab are designed for printing; complex tables may be verbose in some screen readers.
• Third-party pages we link to (Stripe checkout, GitHub, Google sign-in) are outside our control.
